Is 7 days enough for Taiwan?
If you have only 7 days in Taiwan, it's true that you won't be able to explore the entire country, but you'll definitely get a delightful sampling of its beauty and culture. By the end of your trip, it's highly likely that you'll leave with a strong desire to return and explore even more of this captivating destination.
How many days do you need to explore Taiwan?
While eight to 12 days is considered the ideal duration to fully immerse yourself in Taiwan's diverse experiences, adding a five-day visit to your Asia itinerary can be the perfect introduction to this remarkable destination. Beginning in the vibrant capital city of Taipei and tracing a coastal route to Tainan, this shorter trip will offer you a taste of Taiwan's finest, blending contemporary allure with rich historical treasures.
Is Taiwan cheap to visit?
Short answer: Taiwan is not excessively expensive, and a budget trip is quite feasible without missing out on experiences. The cost perception may vary depending on your home country, but travelers from the UK, US, or Australia often find Taiwan to be very affordable.
What is the best way to travel in Taiwan?
The Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) efficiently links major cities from the North to the South of the country. It stands as the fastest and most convenient mode of transportation within Taiwan, with the journey from Taipei to Kaohsiung covering a mere 90 minutes!
Is taxi expensive in Taiwan?
Nonetheless, when compared to taxi services in many other parts of the world, Taiwanese taxis are typically considered affordable. In Taiwan, a single taxi can accommodate up to four passengers (or even more, depending on the driver's discretion), and fares may vary slightly by region. Generally, taxi fares are determined using a meter.
Is Uber available in Taiwan?
Additionally, in comparison to traditional taxis, Uber vehicles in Taiwan tend to be newer and maintained in a cleaner condition. However, it's important to note that Uber prices may not necessarily be lower than those of regular taxis, and during peak hours, they could even be higher. Furthermore, Uber services are primarily available in major city centers across Taiwan.
